Whether you are filming at 24, 25 or 30 frames per second, we have all the gear to make your picture perfect. We have industry standard 3/4" 24/655 decks, several 24/655 standards converters, color correctors, and video processing systems, all available in the San Francisco area. We also have a selection of TV sets that are 24 frame compatible to meet your needs. If you need fast turnaround or live conversion, we're ready.

Shooting a commercial or TV show? You should consider filming at 30FPS, this will widen your options for TV sets and computers.

24 Frame Computers

Today's productions are including computers more and more and we are ready to sync up anything you can display. Our primary platform is the PC clone running Windows2000, but we can do some Mac and SGI systems. Most clients use Macromind Director files for their displays, but we are also happy to run your software directly on our systems. Want to film a web page? We can run Netscape or Explorer live or from an on-disc cache for top speed in loading. To put it simply, if it runs under Windows, it will run at any speed you want to film at.

All of our computer systems can genlock to a master sync source. This makes filming many screens a simple task. We can also lock to a video source for use in TV studios. This means you can mix computers and TVs with the greatest of ease.

Genlocking VGA cards

Sparkology can also provide VGA cards to run in your PC. We can supply the Diamond Stealth Video 3000, Matrox Millennium 2, Matrox Marvel G200, Matrox G450, and now the Matrox Parhelia card with 3 VGA outputs. Our modified cards work just like the regular ones except they can be run at precision frame rates and can genlock to video sync or other computers. The newest GL6 system has an onboard ultra stable sync generator for automatic setting of 24.000, 25.000, 29.970, and 30.00 FPS filming. The internal generator can also be turned off and the card run at any speed up to 120 FPS to allow filming at speeds up to 60 FPS.
